The Whidbey Island Arts Council's music committee provides and supports local musicians, venues, services and music education through its annual Island Strings scholarship program, and through its sponsorships of music organizations such as the Whidbey Island Music Festival, EnSembLeM and Concerts on the Lane.

Further support of the council in the music arena can also be seen through its sponsorship of community events such as Choochokam Arts and Oktoberfest in Langley.
