Registration is open to all Whidbey Island artists. NOTE: There is NO JURY to enter the 2010 Whidbey Open Studio Tour. In the registration process, you may see the word “jury” several times. Unfortunately, the word “jury” is embedded in the program and cannot be changed. Your registration will be accepted as soon as you fully complete the registration process.

- Please proof your entry carefully prior to clicking submit and paying. All data will be uploaded directly to the website as you have entered it with no further edits.
REGISTRATION DATES
- March 12 to April 30, 2010
- DEADLINE: No artist registrations for this year’s tour will be accepted after April 30, 2010.

REGISTRATION PROCESS: Each registered artist must…
- Agree to illustrate, explain, and/or demonstrate his/her work during the 2010 Whidbey Open Studio Tour on Saturday and Sunday, September 25-26, 2010, from 10 am to 5 pm.
- Agree to promote the 2010 Whidbey Open Studio Tour to his/her personal customers, friends, family, and acquaintances. (Rack Cards, Brochures, and Maps will be made available to all registered artists for promotion.)
- Agree to donate up to three (3) hours of volunteer time prior to the weekend of the Tour, if asked.
- Agree to provide feedback to the WIAC from attendees and studio participants, to improve future Whidbey Open Studio Tours.
- Agree that my images can be used for marketing and promotional purposes by the WIAC.

CATEGORIES OF STUDIOS
There are three (3) categories of Studios this year. You may register for only ONE of the following categories:
Individual Artist's Studio:
- The working studio of an individual artist.
- Brochure: One full page in the brochure with artist’s biography, statement, two images, and directions to studio.
- Map: Location marked with a colored star and number on map.
- Website: Artist listing with two images and website link on Whidbey Open Studio Tour website.
- Three (3) Studio Tour signs for you to use and keep. You can pick up your signs at the Pacific NorthWest Art School, 15 NW Birch Street, Coupeville (M-F 9 am – 4 pm) or Fine Balance Imaging, Bayview Cash Store (upstairs), Langley (M-F 10 am – 5 pm).
- Registration fee: $250. Includes membership in the Whidbey Island Arts Council. If you already are a member, your membership fee will be refunded to you (by mail) after your Whidbey Open Studio Tour registration is confirmed.
Group Artists' Studio:
- A group of three (3) to six (6) artists, who will exhibit, demonstrate, and/or discuss their works in one studio.
- Location of group studio to be chosen by the group, preferably the studio of one of the artists.
- Brochure: One full page (1-3 artists) or two full pages (4-6 artists) in brochure with the group’s statement, one image per artist, and directions to studio.
- Map: Location marked with a colored triangle and number on map.
- Website: A listing for each artist with one image and website link on Whidbey Open Studio Tour website.
- Three (3) Studio Tour signs for the Group to use and keep. You can pick up your signs at the Pacific NorthWest Art School, 15 NW Birch Street, Coupeville (M-F 9 am – 4 pm) or Fine Balance Imaging, Bayview Cash Store (upstairs), Langley (M-F 10 am – 5 pm).

Public Venue:
- Two public exhibition venues, one in Langley (Fair Grounds) and one in Coupeville (Camp Casey). These venues are designed for individual artists who do not have working studio space in which they can receive guests.
- Each artist will be allotted a 10’ x10’ space for which he/she is entirely responsible (all equipment, display panels, pedestals, materials, set-up, tear-down, reception, and sales).
- Brochure: One full page for each Public Exhibition with one image per artist, and directions to venue.
- Map: Location marked with a colored square and number on map.
- Website: A listing for each artist with one image and website link on Whidbey Open Studio Tour website.
- Registration fee: $100 per artist. Includes membership in the Whidbey Island Arts Council. If you already are a member, your membership fee will be refunded to you (by mail) after your Whidbey Open Studio Tour registration is confirmed.
INFORMATION NEEDED TO REGISTER
Before you click on REGISTER NOW please make sure you have the following information readily available:
FOR Individual Artist’s Studio Registrations:
- All your contact information
- A description of your medium in 5 words or less (examples: Impressionistic Oils, Weaving, Basketry, Watercolors and Acrylics, Ceramics for the Home)
- Studio Name (if you have one)
- Artist’s Statement (in 50 words or less)
- Studio Street or Physical Address, City
- Directions to Studio (50 words or less). Please begin the description with the physical address of the Studio, followed by the directions from Hwy 525/20.
- Website (if you have one)
- Two (2) digital images of your work in the following format:
- Camera Ready
- Format: jpg
- Size: 100K to 1 MB
- Resolution: 300 dpi
FOR Group Artists’ Studio Registrations:
There is only ONE registration form for all artists in the group. The FIRST artist to register will create a user name and password. This artist will be the Group Captain and will enter all his/her contact information first. The Group Captain should be the artist in whose studio the group will exhibit.
On the Group Captain’s registration profile the:
- E-mail will be the Group Captain’s email
- Business Name will be the name of the Group
- Mailing address, main phone, alternate phone, and website will be the Group Captain’s mailing address, main phone, alternate phone, and website
- Medium with be the Group Captain’s medium
- Artist’s Statement (in 50 words or less) will be the Group’s Statement. This will be the ONLY statement for the group. Please make sure that all the artists in the group agree with the statement. It should say something about why this group is exhibiting together.
- Directions to Studio (50 words or less) will be the directions to the Group’s Studio. Please begin the description with the physical address of the Group Studio, followed by the directions from Hwy 525/20.
- The information on the other artists in the group will be entered in the blocks beginning with Group Artist #2 through Group Artist #6. Please enter the following information for each of the other artists in the group, one artist per block::
- First Name and Last Name
- Medium in 5 words or less (examples: Impressionistic Oils, Weaving, Basketry, Watercolors and Acrylics, Ceramics for the Home)
- Email address
- Mailing address (including city, state, zip)
- Main phone and alternate phone
- Website (if applicable)
- Upload of Images: Each artist in the group can upload only ONE (1) image of his/her work. For the group you may upload a minimum three (3) images and a maximum of six (6) images.
- The title of each image should be in the following format
- Artist’s Last Name, First Name “Title”
- Each image MUST be in the following format
- Camera Ready
- Format: jpg
- Size: 100K to 1 MB
- Resolution: 300 dpi
