ABOUT IAC

The Island Arts Council supports all genres of the arts throughout the whole of Whidbey Island. We have committee groups dedicated to areas where IAC is actively producing an event or project in that genre. For many of the arts, we currently support activities, projects, and events through various types of sponsorships through our member arts organizations and partners in the community.

COMING IN SEPTEMBER 2008 - The 12TH ANNUAL Whidbey Island Open Studio Tour

The Whidbey Island Open Studio Tour is an Island Arts Council event. It carries on a long tradition of the Island as a haven for artists. In 2007 over 100 artists and craftsmen opened their studios to give the public a unique opportunity to glimpse their creative world. It is art at the source. Painters, sculptors, photographers, potters, glass blowers, woodworkers, jewelers and crafters will demonstrate and explain their creative process during the two days of the tour.
