ARTS ALIVE WHIDBEY
Arts Alive Whidbey (AAW) invests in and invents ways to help our island's creative people to make a living through performances and events. Arts Alive Whidbey nurtures the next generation of artists by raising money so families can afford lessons, workshops, and camps for their children. Based in Clinton, its director is Jana Szabo, a master of song, songwriting, improvisation, performance art, vocal coaching, singing, and piano technique. AAW assistant director is Joann Hamick Quintana:  singer, songwriter, band leader and recording artist based in Langley.

SOUNDSPACE at EARTH SANCTUARY
Experience the extraordinary at Earth Sanctuary by being a part of creating the SoundSpace chambered mound. Inspired by the mystical Maes Howe chambered mound on the Orkney Islands, this project is 25 years in the making. With community support, anyone will be able to experience the most transcendental and unusual auditory phenomena of the natural world here on Whidbey Island. Grounded in research from Dr. Aaron Watson, the world’s leading acoustical archaeologist, the SoundSpace chambered mound is designed to evoke spiritual, transcendental, and shamanic sensations through the natural resonance and toning unique to such sacred spaces.

WHIDBEY ISLAND SCULPTURE EXPERIENCE (WISE)
We are expanding the program’s mission to be more art event oriented, involving the Island. These event opportunities will feature local visual artists and musicians.  We have created a public sculpture destination on private property and will be hosting educational art related opportunities for artists to interact, educate, create commerce, and introduce a cultural experience for people of all ages. The goal is to provide education, to increase art awareness through events and curate tourism opportunities for the public.

WHIDBEY WORKING ARTISTS
In 2004 a small group of north central artists founded Whidbey Working Artists as a vehicle for promoting the visual arts and artists of  Whidbey Island. Our mission is to share the arts and artists of Whidbey Island with the broader NW community. Whidbey Island is home to a large, vibrant, diverse community of artists. As an organization we believe that opening our studios offers visitors the opportunity to share in the process of how art is created and a glimpse of how artists inhabit their creative space. This shared experience between artists and visitors provides a stimulating creative conversation that enhances the arts while also educating and developing an appreciation for the handcrafted.
