Christian Hammer
Treasurer Lifelong Artist, serial entrepreneur, board member and technology executive with a career spanning 30 years, including leading digital transformations and the creation of Direct to Consumer businesses; with roles at Nike, AppNexus and Wayfair. Notably today, Christian is the Chief Technology Officer for TradeLens and President of BBBSIC (Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Island County). |
Quinn Cox
Quinn is an accomplished entrepreneur, co-founding Giving Bag and consulting as a Chief of Staff for venture-backed startups. With a background in the hospitality industry, studying at Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, he has worked at hotels and eco-lodges around the world. He is a musician, writer, and poet. He loves the outdoors and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Rainier, with the legendary Camino de Santiago next on his bucket list for 2024.

Tekla Cunningham
Tekla received her musical training at Johns Hopkins University and Peabody Conservatory (where she studied History and German Literature in addition to violin), Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna, Austria, and at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she completed a Master’s degree with Ian Swenson. She is on the early music faculty of Cornish College for the Arts and is founder and director of the Whidbey Island Music Festival. |

Elizabeth Walsh
Arts in Education Elizabeth Walsh is honored to be part of the WIAC leading the Art in Education program to offer creative and positive art experiences for the Whidbey community. Bringing decades of corporate management experience to the council, Elizabeth also successfully produces the annual Willows Orchard Art Show in July. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Montana and is currently working on a Masters of Gardening from Washington State University. |
R.E. Yelton
Marketing and Branding R.E. Yelton is a multidisciplinary artist and consultant based in North Whidbey Island where she has lived since 2017. Her early work in photography garnered over two dozen awards, including congressional recognition, and she has worked as a professional in the creative industry since she was 15 years old. She's deeply passionate about fostering a culture of accessibility and collaboration over competition. Additionally, she works to advocate for and uplift the voices of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and people with disabilities in the arts. R.E. is also the co-founder of Whidbey's Lone Elk Poets. |
Trish Zapinski
At-Large In 2014 Trish took an early retirement from management consulting and now lives and gardens full time on Whidbey Island. Oh, and takes lots of walks and hikes with her Siberian husky. Supporting such diverse organizations from Fortune 100 companies to regional farm cooperatives, she provided complex program and/or project leadership in conjunction with needed business process re-engineering. She has always had a deep appreciation of the arts and looks to bring her business skillset to better support the local community in any way needed. |
