Exploring Your Soul Song for adults Instructor: Kristine O’Kelly, BSW, LMT Assistant Instructor: Jordan Jones Date: Saturday, March 1 Time: 1:00-3:00pm Age: Adults, 18+ Cost: by donation Location: Soundview Center, 432 3rd Street Langley Join us as we explore individual and personal relationships with sounds, tones and instruments, utilizing heartful listening, exploratory movements, journaling and collage to begin to uncover our own inner songs. Students should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and sitting or lying down. Max class size: 10 students Registration Deadline: Saturday, February 22nd Cancellation/No-show Policy: If you must cancel, please give us one week minimum notice. No-show families and individuals will not be allowed to register for future classes. About the Instructors: Musician Kristine O’Kelly has spent her life fusing music with the heart and inspiring children and adults through its source. Expressing Feelings Through Music and Song a one-hour workshop for children Instructor: Kristine O’Kelly, BSW, LMT Assistant Instructor: Jordan Jones Date: Tuesday, March 25 Time: 3:30-4:30pm Ages: 4-10 Cost: FREE (donations appreciated) Location: Soundview Center, 432 3rd Street Langley Music and song can assist us to express complicated emotions in vast and exciting ways. Join us as we explore how different ways of singing and movement can help us express our emotions in a constructive fashion and learn how to safely dance and sing to express even challenging emotions through music and song! Students should wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement and expressive dancing Supervision: Parents and guardians are not required to remain on-site, however you are welcome to stay in a supervisory capacity. SATURDAY, MARCH 29 (CLASS IS FULL - REGISTER NOW TO JOIN WAIT LIST)
Create Clay Cups a one-hour clay workshop for kids Instructor: Jordan Jones Assistant Instructor: Kristine O’Kelly Date: Saturday, March 29 Time: 1:00-2:00pm Age: 6-16 Cost: FREE (donations appreciated) Location: Whidbey Clay Center - 1664 E Main Street, Freeland Supervision: Parent/Guardian must remain on-site during the workshop In this beginner-friendly clay class, we will construct cups out of slabs of clay and decorate them with stamps and sculpted creations. We will learn basic hand building techniques to make our pieces. Each student will be able to create at least one cup, which we will fire and glaze for them to be picked up 2 weeks after the class date- to take home and use! Your child should wear clothes that you are comfortable with them getting dirty- playing with clay can get muddy! Please note that the ceramic process requires drying and kiln firing time- the pieces created in this class will be fully finished and ready to be picked up 2 weeks after the class date (April 12th). Max class size: 8 students Registration Deadline: March 22nd (one week prior to class date) Cancellation/No-show Policy: If you must cancel, please give us one week minimum notice. Sickness and accidents do happen, so please let us know as soon as possible if you will not be able to attend. Many classes have a waitlist and we would like to try to fill spots.
